Eid Wishes & Greetings
Eid-ul-Fitr is also written as Eid al-Fitr is the most important festival of followers of Islam. Known to be from the prophet Muhammad, Eid is a day without fasting. Happening at the end of Ramadan, fasting from morning to night is a daily ritual. The first Eid of the year, Eid-ul-Fitr falls on the first day of the month of Shawwal.
Eid al-Fitr, also known as “breaking the fast”, lasts for three days. A specific prayer is recited that day. Many people attend prayers together and listen to sermons on the first day of the month of Shawwal, which takes place outside or in large rooms. Some communities even organize different types of festivities, including community meals that day. People go to distant places to attend these prayers and festivities. Some wear new clothes and visit the homes of their loved ones, exchange gifts, or send cards and messages. The festive meals are prepared to share with your friends and family. On this day, mosques across the world are decorated using lights and thousands of Muslims offer prayers inside these mosques. Most of the Muslim countries declare the day as a public holiday.
